My career as an artist began in the early 1990’s following a complete change of career direction. Having graduated with a degree in History in 1979 from the University of Leeds, I went on to gain a postgraduate certificate in Museum Studies, before joining The Museum of London in 1980.

In 1993 I left my job as Press Officer at the Museum to do a degree in Art and Design and graduated in 1995 with a degree from the University of East Anglia. Since then I have been steadily building a reputation for my work, exhibiting at galleries in East Anglia. I am a founder member of Artworks and since 2003, its Chairperson. I am also a member of the Suffolk Craft Society. I exhibit annually with Norfolk Arts at Burnham Overy Staithe and also at the Christmas Craft Markets at Blackthorpe Barn. Recently, I have been commissioned to illustrate Carol Klein’s column in Gardens Illustrated (www.gardensillustrated.com).
