| Artist's Statement |
Working in all mediums including print, I am at present concentrating on monochrome drawings in pen and ink, exploring detailed but distorted perceptions of reality. From the initial idea of shape and form, I allow my work to evolve by continually contemplating the image, then, subconsciously a more defined structure or theme emerges. My aim is to stimulate and tempt the viewer to journey deeper into the picture.
I wish to create work with integrity, characterised by one or more of the following:
Witty, playful, contemplative, symbolic, beguiling, illusory, thought provoking, challenging, disturbing, even shocking.

| Biography |
I developed a certain artistic flair when very young, selling my first paintings at the age of sixteen. My dream of attending art school was not realised and after many jobs I settled in the airline industry for 25 years. I then worked in various industries until about 2002 when circumstances dramatically changed my life culminating in a re-emergence of my creativity. I am now undertaking what I call “a late apprenticeship”, studying the visual arts and absorbing as much as possible. It’s very exciting.
