Statement |
My work primarily involves the portrayal of the human figure. I have always been interested in this subject matter and relish the challenge in portraying character through both posture and facial expression.
I have a diverse body of paintings from depiction of the nude, to manipulated and distorted images of childhood memories, portraits and re-enactment of eras which are often large scale.
My interest in the portrayal of the human figure has developed from an early age and continues to both challenge and excite me. I mainly work in oils but also use acrylics and am still very keen on the original pencil and charcoal mediums that first inspired me.

| Biography |
Although Lyn has drawn and painted from an early age, she only returned to art after some years spent working in local government, graduating from a foundation course as a mature student. Since then she has continued to develop her style, working from a studio in the Brecks with oils and other media. Lyn finds inspiration in the people and places of Norfolk, portraying people from different backgrounds in both figurative pieces and more traditional portraiture. Among those sitting for the latter has been the actor, Bill Pertwee, re-establishing his connection with the Brecks through the Dad’s Army Museum.
She is an active member of Breckland Artists and also shows at a number of galleries throughout East Anglia.
