Ursula Kit Price Moss |
| Artist/Printmaker |
| Artist's Statement |
My sketchbooks have always been important to me. I enjoy drawing from life outdoors - people and activities, and as a keen naturalist – birds and other animals in landscapes - their behaviour, shapes, textures and colours. I use pen and wash a great deal, with soft colouring crayons. I respond to these first drawn images, feelings and emotions using printmaking techniques, concentrating on line, shape, tone and texture.
I prefer to use non toxic materials and try to avoid acids and oil based inks. Therefore, I experiment with new, non-traditional methods of etching, collagraphy and screenprinting.

| Biography |
Kit studied Fine Art at Wimbledon and Birmingham Colleges and taught for many years in schools and further education. After her children left home, she went back to studying herself and gained an MA in Art and Design in Education at De Montfort University in 2005. She has exhibited her work regularly, and before her recent move to East Anglia, participated in a collaborative sculpture for Melton Mowbray and designed the village sign for Whissendine in Rutland.
Her move to East Anglia has enabled her to concentrate on developing her practice as an artist printmaker. The beautiful Norfolk coast informs her most recent subject matter. Kit is a member of the Gainsborough’s House Print Workshop and the Chairperson of West Norfolk Artists Association.
