| Artist's Statement |
I delight in pattern and colour and both
are the predominate influences of my work. My inspirations are
diverse but I favour organic themes which I express in watercolour,
mixed media and print. My paintings and prints are interpreted
both in abstract form and in a loosely, realistic graphic style.
I enjoy exploring the contrast of the fluid qualities of paint
and the simplicity and directness of line.

| Biography |
Hilary Evans grew up in North London and
worked as a designer for a London Publishing Company before
moving to Suffolk in the mid 1970's. She works in partnership
with her husband as a free-lance illustrator. A printmaking
course was the impetus to expand her own ideas which she now
expresses in the media of print, watercolour and mixed media.
