Artworks’ 13th Annual Exhibition
Saturday 8 - 30 September 2012
10-5 daily

An eagerly awaited annual event in East Anglia' art scene, Artworks’ exhibition in 2012, its 13th Anniversary, will be for three weeks from 8th to 30th September. This will be a great opportunity to see and buy new and original contemporary work in various media, different styles and a wide range of prices by some of East Anglia's most inspired and creative artists. All the work will be for sale. We will also have a shop selling artists’ limited edition prints, unframed work, greetings cards and postcards.

The setting for the exhibition is the huge and spectacular late medieval Blackthorpe Barn. Part of the Rougham Estate, it was built in c.1550 as a threshing barn on lands that had formerly belonged to the Benedictine abbey at nearby Bury St. Edmunds. It remained in use as such until 1985 when it received a new lease of life as an arts centre.

The skilled craftsmanship and engineering feats of the carpenters of Tudor Suffolk provide a superb backdrop against which to enjoy and be inspired by the creativity and unique vision of one of East Anglia’s most exciting and dynamic groups of artists.
