| Painter |
| Artist's Statement |
I like to compose my paintings, trying to
re-create the visual mood of the subject. I prefer to use gouache
paint mainly because it provides flexibility from pure watercolour
through to an opaque and sometime impasto technique.
Most paintings are landscapes or should I say 'treescapes' since
I have always been influenced by them in all their changing
colour schemes through the seasons. But perhaps, mainly for
their individual characteristics (almost human) from the wayward
green sapling through to the mature upright forms and beyond
to the ageing silver grey sculptured remains to be found in
our Suffolk parklands and ancient woods.

he was able to work from his studio in Suffolk receiving commissions

discovered in his native East Anglian Countryside.
In recent years he has had 'one man' exhibitions in France,
at Toulouse and Cahors. He has also shared exhibitions at La

in Ipswich
